New Article: Jil Love – Embodiment Of Art. Quoted from: http://pressatwork.wordpress.com/2014/11/29/jil-love-embodiment-of-art-2/
An inspiring person for the people around the world, Jil has made her name through her extraordinary work of art that she finds to express “Love” and “Peace” for humanity. Her work created as a wave of social revolution and peaceful protest again all the vices and tyrannies going on around the world. What makes her work unique are her way of work and the way she presents her work at locations that act as eye openers for the people that pass by. As much out of this world her work is, so is her skill set as a professional and her association of her work to her passion is truly a marvel.
What is your full name? And do mention any nicknames that you may use.
Jil Love is my name and how I want to be known. It’s a simple name that carries the most important and powerful force of all, LOVE.
Where were you born and what is your age?
I was born in Tarragona, a small harbor city in Catalonia, Spain, sometime in the end of last century.
What is your educational background?
I’m self taught. I quit school when I was 16 to study acting and film-making. I studied to be a nurse in Santa Fe in 2008. I used to work in hospice and home health care. I’m currently going to one of the best acting schools in US, Stella Adler in Los Angeles.
What organizations or professional institutions are you working for our own?
I founded Jil Love Revolution on 11-25-12.
What was your initial inspiration that led to choosing the profession that you do?
My Artivism is not a profession; it is a state of being. When I was a little girl I always thought why nobody did something about the problems in the world, I was witnessing, then, when I grew up, I realized I was that somebody. I’m the change I want to see in the world.
Does your family support what you are doing?
My mom passed away of cancer on April 12th, 2012 and my dad on May 12th 2013.
I had a dream a few time ago that was really reassuring for me. I was flying over my childhood country home where my family used to spend the vacations, that was the happiest time of my life, full of family love. Both of my parents were among other people watching my flying. My dad had an amazed face looking at me, saying: little girl you are going to make it very far. My Mom was smiling at me and telepathically telling me that I was going to make a huge impact in the world. That was the first and the only dream I had with both of my parents in the same dream and after they left this physical world.
What was the reaction of family and friends when you asked for their support?
I only have two brothers much older than me and I don’t get along with them that much, they don’t really understand me. I was the youngest one; I was born when my mom was 42, so I have been always a loved lonely child. My new family is my friends around the world. I have many soul sisters and brothers and they fully support me in all my endeavors and artistic creations.
What exactly is ART to you?
Art is the deepest expression of the soul and the culmination of all our imagination powers. Art for me is a therapy that heals every cell of my human body and inspires others to achieve their highest dreams with imagination. Humans are artistic creators by nature, because we go beyond the limitation of the physical body and language. In art, the only limitation is you.
Much of what Jil does is seen by the eye of the world as “Art” but what makes it different from art is the significance of what that art portrays in front of the people. One of the quotes that Jil likes is “We will discover the nature of our particular genius when we stop trying to conform to our own or to other people’s models, learn to be ourselves, and allow our natural channel to open.” – Shakti Gawain from her book Creative Visualization. Jil is the personification of art and perfection that intermingles into an amazing masterpiece performance.
How would you define “ARTivism” in your own words?
ARTivism is conveying Art and Activism together to raise awareness motivate society and expand consciousness. My mission is to awaken a force in those who view my images… To raise awareness, ignite ideas and incite people to action.
What inspired you towards ARTivisim? I mean the initial event that led to this inspiration.
I was always outraged, sad and angry about the injustices on this human planet. So one day I decided to do something about it in a productive and creative way, using my art skills to inspire others to improve humanity.
Did people support you at first or they criticized you?
First, they always laugh at you and don’t take you seriously. Is not a non-profit “profession” so some people think it’s worthless. But after touching so many people’s hearts, mind and souls all over the world, they start to take you seriously, because it is a very effective way to draw attention on the issues that really matter.
How often do you come across criticism? And how do you react to it?
Once I put my art out there is not mine anymore, it belongs to the public, at whatever their reaction might be, is not my problem anymore.
How do you manage times with all the activities that are going on in your life?
I work with the Universe, so I just show up when I’m called.
Any favorite quotes or words that you want to share that hold great meaning in your life?
“Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.”- Albert Einstein
“The most creative act you will ever undertake is the act of creating yourself.” – Deepak Chopra
“There is a field beyond good or bad . . I’ll meet you there.” – Rumi
How do you come up with the ideas about your ARTivism performances? Do you research before you do it or it just comes to your mind like a natural instinct?
It comes to me as an Instinct when I see something that really outrages me in the moment. We peacefully and artistically fight for Social Rights, Animal rights and Environmental rights. The Revolution starts with loving yourself. Only then you can truly love others the same way.
Do you face problems when you perform in public? Such as people who de-motivate you.
Never, I’m always protected by my Angels and my Great Mother Goddess. I’m really concentrating when I do my Artivism and I don’t allow anything from the outside to affect me.
Any role models or inspirations in your life that you follow or wish to follow?
Mother Teresa, Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Joan of Arch…
What message do you want to give to the young generation? Any specific age group that you want to deliver your message to?
I want to teach the world that being an Artivist and create your Love Revolution is possible, have fun with it while being successful.
What events have you carried out so far?
I have them all at http://jilloverevolution.com. It’s a new website and I’m still working on it. I have done so much in a little more than 2 years.
What are your plans for the future events? Any upcoming events that you want the audience to know?
- This will be my next ARTivism: NOTHING TO SEE HERE, JUST ANOTHER 43 DEAD MEXICAN STUDENTS, KEEP MOVING. This will be the biggest Love Revolution ARTivism ever. 43 Mexicans will be lying dead in front of the Mexican Consulate in Los Angeles. Their souls will demand justice to Mexican Authorities!! https://www.facebook.com/events/1547174635520034/?pnref=story
Around the world, Jil has sparked the light of hope among the hearts of people through her ARTivism, conveying the message that humanity still resides in even the most ignorant hearts. The only thing that a person needs to do is to look into oneself and find that reason, to inspire oneself to serve humanity in such a way that injustice and social evils are rid of this world. Although some of the ARTivism may look scary and disturbing at first glance, but that is what has become of us. We tend to look at the glamour and charm of the ignorant side of the world, keeping a blind eye towards the people who face so many hardships in everyday life. Poverty, violence, racism, domestic abuse, drug abuse, war, etc. are some of the aspects of the world that we tend to take for granted. The ARTvism acts as a mirror that shows the reflection of the world of what it has now become and some people do not take it seriously at all. They are totally neglecting that this world goes into a negative decline day by day and people are suffering every day in many possible ways. And if this keeps on going on then, let alone humanity, even life in the world would become a miracle, though for now the cut-throat behavior of the people is psychological and emotional, but there will come a time when the people will diverge from the world of non-existent to existent bringing forth the evils that hide within them. Jil is working hard to cleanse that evil from the heart of people and she intends to bridge that gap with the goodness she wants to promote through her revolution.
ARTivism is totally a peaceful movement having no physical violence or any hidden propaganda in it. It is simply the work that wants to be an “Eye-opener” for the people around the world. Now this revolution has been a global inspiration among the followers of Jil Love all around the world. And she is very thankful that “Love Revolution” has brought about social change in many places. And people have come to value humanity over all else, which is a very positive achievement for the whole idea of ARTivism. Whatever Jil finds creative she performs and it is only a matter of a day that the performance goes viral all over the world like something that is trending which is truly an amazing feeling for anyone who can achieve their vision like this.
Jil’s journey to achieve what she wants to achieve has led her to make excellent allies in many different areas of the world. These people support her in her acts, appearing as volunteers that give her a helping hand when she performs. Amazing and yet surprising at the same time that the people who support Jil come from diverse background. This signifies that “ARTvism” is not restricted to any specific geographical, ethical or religious orientation, but it is the total sum of all the good that exists in the world exhibited as a work of art. And don’t deny the fact that every culture, every religion and every society want to see good around them that will make them comfortable in their everyday life. The youth, especially is very much inspired by the work of Jill and they follow the creativity and uniqueness of her work, which is a good thing as the youth is the leading component in the upcoming future and thus they will form the foundation of the social structure. As it is said that if a county want to flourish, then engage the youth in positive activities.
